Do the crossbars come included with the roof rails?

Usually no: roof rails run along the roof, while load crossbars are selected separately according to the type of rails. Exceptions are rails with crosspieces for Toyota Hilux and Nissan Navara, and a set of integrated roof rails with crossbars for Land Cruiser Prado 150. Can I install a roof rack if the car doesn’t have roof rails?

Yes. If the roof has factory mounting points, a rack for штатні місця (V3 series) will fit. If the roof is smooth, there are crossbars whose feet clamp into the door openings — Erkul Asaf V4 and Niken Oluksuz V4.

Do I need to drill the roof?

For crossbars on roof rails, in factory mounting points, and on a smooth roof — no. Drilling or adhesive sealant may be needed for longitudinal roof rails if there are no factory mounting points on the roof; the installation method is specified in each product’s specifications.

What weight can roof bars carry?

Follow the lowest limit across the whole system: the car roof, roof rails, crossbars, and mounts. Add the weight of the box or basket to the load, and distribute the cargo evenly.

What does “with lock” mean in the name of crossbars?

These are crossbars with a lock in the mounts: they are harder to remove without a key. The lock does not increase load capacity, and crossbars without a key are just as securely fixed mechanically.

Will crossbars from another car fit?

Only if the roof type, width, and mounting method match. Crossbars for roof rails will not fit a smooth roof, and model-specific feet for factory mounting points are designed for a specific model and years — choose via the “Make / Model” filter.
