LED Car Bulbs
LED bulbs for cars in this section are Niken LED lamps designed to replace halogen and xenon bulbs in the main headlights. There are 33 items for bases H1, H3, H4, H7, H8/H9/H11, H11, H27, HB3 (9005), HB4 (9006), 9012, as well as D1S, D2S, and D4S for headlights with factory xenon. Halogen-base bulbs are sold as a set of 2, while D bulbs are sold individually. The key things to choose by are the base type, your vehicle’s electrical system voltage (12 or 24 V), and the space behind the headlight for the bulb body.
How Eco, Pro, and Nova series differ
| Series | Power and light output | Features |
|---|---|---|
| Eco-series | 40 W, 8000 lm, 6500 K | Built-in cooling fan 7500 rpm |
| Pro-series | 32 W, 8000 lm, 6500 K | Widest range of bases, installation without special tools |
| Nova-series | 90 W, 12000 lm, 6500 K | Fan 8500 rpm, IP67 protection, works on 12 and 24 V |
| Pro-series 24V | 32 W, 3500 lm | For trucks with a 24 V electrical system (H4, H7) |
The section also includes the SOLO and Soft Nova series (H4, H7) — see each product page for exact specs. All kits come with built-in power supplies, so there’s no need to buy a separate driver.
How to choose an LED bulb by base type
Check the marking on your old bulb or in the vehicle manual and choose a bulb with the same base. H4 combines low and high beam in one bulb, while H7 headlights use separate bulbs for low and high beam, so they’re counted separately. H8, H9, and H11 share the same fitment and are sold as one kit. Bases are not interchangeable: H4 won’t fit in place of H7, and a 24 V bulb won’t work in a 12 V system. For factory xenon, see the separate xenon bulbs section — it also includes LED D1S, D2S, and D4S bulbs.
Will the LED bulb fit in the headlight, and do you need a “CANbus decoder”?
Matching the base isn’t enough. An LED bulb has a heatsink or a rear fan, so before buying, check that there’s enough space behind the headlight and that the factory dust cover can be closed. If the bulb doesn’t lock into the socket, you’ll need a vehicle-specific LED bulb adapter — the section includes H7 adapters for Ford Focus, BMW X5, Volkswagen Tiguan, Nissan Qashqai, and other models. On cars with a bulb monitoring system, an LED bulb may trigger a “bulb out” warning or flicker — for that, there are CANbus adapters for H4, H7, and H8/H9/H11. A mounting adapter and a CANbus decoder are different parts: the first holds the bulb in place, the second removes the error.
What else to pay attention to
- After replacement, check the beam cutoff on a wall and adjust the headlights if needed so you don’t blind oncoming traffic.
- 6500 K color temperature is cool white light, noticeably whiter than halogen.
- Replace bulbs in pairs so both headlights match.
- If the headlight lens is cloudy or the reflector is worn, a new bulb won’t fix the output — check the condition of the optics first.
Osram and Philips halogen bulbs and other base types are collected in the Car bulbs section.
