How is a full front bumper different from a lip spoiler?
A lip, or "lip," is an add-on for the lower edge of the factory bumper, so the front end keeps its factory shape. A full bumper replaces the factory one, and the entire front section changes: air intakes, grilles, and shape.
Do I need to paint the front bumper?
Most bumpers come ready for painting: they are test-fitted, prepped, and painted to match the body color before final installation. The color of each item is specified in the характеристики — there are also black Dakar heavy-duty bumpers and parts made from natural carbon.
What does “bumper assembled” mean?
Such a bumper comes with grilles, and for some models — with fog lights as well. The exact contents are specified in the “Комплектація” field in the product characteristics.
Will a restyling-style bumper fit a pre-restyling car?
It depends on the model. Some bumpers are compatible with both versions, while for others the pre-facelift car needs new headlights or a radiator grille — this is indicated in the product description.
How is a front bumper installed?
Most bumpers are installed in the factory mounting points instead of the old one; some fiberglass add-ons are glued on with glass adhesive sealant, which is purchased separately. The bumper can be installed at DD Tuning certified service centers — the manager will suggest the nearest one.
Are there original bumpers in the section?
Mostly, these are bumpers in the style of top versions from GBT, GT Tuning, 1234 Upgrade and other manufacturers. A few original Mercedes-Benz bumpers have “Оригінал” in the name.
Can I buy the grille, molding, or another part of an assembled bumper separately?
Usually, no: the parts included in an assembled bumper — lower grilles, moldings, frames — are not sold separately, only as a set. For example, with the RS3 bumper for Audi A3 2012–2020.
Will my factory fog lights fit the new bumper?
Not always. For the F-Sport bumper for Lexus LS 2007–2013, the factory fog lights do not fit, while the restyled 2010–2013 bumper for Range Rover L322 and the F-Sport bumper for Lexus RX 2009–2015 already include fog lights. Does the bumper fit right-hand drive (RHD) cars?
For some models, yes — for example, the F-Sport bumper for Lexus RX 2009–2015 also fits the UK version with right-hand drive. For another model, уточніть compatibility with RHD with the manager before ordering.
How much does a Dakar heavy-duty bumper weigh?
The metal Dakar front bumper with underbody protection for Mitsubishi L200 2015–2019 weighs about 30 kg — keep this in mind when choosing the suspension and installing it.
Is fitting required when installing the bumper?
In most cases, the bumper fits the factory mounting points without modifications, but sometimes minor adjustments are needed — for example, moving small brackets or plugs from the factory bumper. That is why the bumper is first test-fitted before painting, and installation is better left to a service center.
