Frequently asked questions
What do the two numbers in a hub cap size mean, for example 65/56 mm?
One number is the outer diameter of the visible front part on the wheel, and the other is the fitting diameter of the part that goes into the center hole of the rim. The fitting diameter is always smaller.
How do I choose hub caps for rims?
Remove the old hub cap and measure the outer diameter along the edge and the fitting diameter across the clips with calipers; if you don’t have a hub cap, measure the center hole in the rim. Choose a hub cap with the same fitting diameter, and if in doubt, check your measurements with a manager.
Can hub caps be chosen only by the car brand?
Not always. Model-specific hub caps are made for original rims of the brand, but the hole on non-original rims may be different. That’s why the size should always be checked.
How many hub caps are in a set?
Most often 4 pcs — one for each wheel. Some large hub caps for original steel rims are sold as 1 pc, which is stated in the product name.
Can a hub cap be selected by rim size, for example R17?
No. The rim radius and bolt pattern do not determine the hub cap size: even the same brand can have several sizes. You need the outer and fitting diameters of the hub cap or the hole itself.
Can an emblem be applied to a hub cap?
Yes, hub cap stickers are sold separately — they are decoration for an existing hub cap, not a replacement. Match the sticker size to the outer diameter and check whether the front part of the hub cap is flat or convex.
