Frequently asked questions
Are a bug deflector and a hood deflector the same thing?
Yes. A bug deflector, bonnet protector, or hood spoiler is an overlay on the front edge of the hood that directs airflow upward. Headlight and window deflectors are different products.
Do I need to drill the hood?
For EuroCap deflectors — no: they are attached with clips or screws over the edge of the hood. The mounting method for each product is specified in the characteristics.
Will the bug deflector damage the paint on the hood?
There should be pads between the fastener and the hood — they reduce friction. To prevent sand from building up under the deflector, it should be removed and washed periodically.
What is the difference between a short bug deflector and a long one?
The short one sits between the headlights, while the long one extends toward the headlights and covers a larger part of the front edge. For Trafic, Vivaro and Primastar, both options are available.
Will a deflector from a different model year fit?
Not always: after a facelift, the hood and headlights often change. Check the years and headlight shape in the product name — for T4 and Camry, for example, these are different deflectors.
What does “carbon look” mean?
It refers to the appearance of the surface. The material of such a deflector is polycarbonate, as in the black EuroCap versions.
