Frequently asked questions

Yes. A bug deflector, bonnet protector, or hood spoiler is an overlay on the front edge of the hood that directs airflow upward. Headlight and window deflectors are different products.
For EuroCap deflectors — no: they are attached with clips or screws over the edge of the hood. The mounting method for each product is specified in the characteristics.
There should be pads between the fastener and the hood — they reduce friction. To prevent sand from building up under the deflector, it should be removed and washed periodically.
The short one sits between the headlights, while the long one extends toward the headlights and covers a larger part of the front edge. For Trafic, Vivaro and Primastar, both options are available.
Not always: after a facelift, the hood and headlights often change. Check the years and headlight shape in the product name — for T4 and Camry, for example, these are different deflectors.
It refers to the appearance of the surface. The material of such a deflector is polycarbonate, as in the black EuroCap versions.

How to Install a Hood Deflector

  1. Check the model and hood shape Check the production years, facelift, and headlight shape in the product name, as well as whether a short or long hood deflector is needed.
  2. Check the комплект Lay out the deflector and mounting kit: clips, screws, pads. If there is a protective film on the deflector, remove it after test fitting.
  3. Wash the hood edge Wash and dry the front edge of the hood and the mounting points so that no sand remains under the clips.
  4. Test fit the deflector Open the hood, position the deflector in the center, check the even gap across the full width and the position of the fasteners.
  5. Secure the clips or screws Install the fasteners with pads and tighten evenly from the center to the edges, without misalignment or excessive force.
  6. Check hood operation Close and open the hood, make sure the deflector does not touch the grille or headlights. After a few days, check the tightness.
