Will these spoilers fit the BMW F31 wagon?

Most of the model-specific spoilers and window visors on the page are made for the F30 sedan (and M3 F80). For the F31 wagon, there is a separate MP-Style DPT spoiler in gloss black; universal spoilers for the F31 are chosen by test fitting.

How is a window visor different from a trunk lid spoiler?

A spoiler (also called a “lip” or “sabre”) is mounted on the edge of the trunk lid, while a visor is mounted on the rear window. For the F30, both types are available: DPT, Libao, EuroCap Sedan visors and the DDCarbon carbon version.

Does the spoiler need to be painted?

Gloss black versions are installed without painting, although the shade may differ slightly from the body color. Versions “for painting” are first test-fitted on the car, then painted in the body color.

How is a spoiler mounted on a BMW F30?

DPT and Sunplex spoilers are attached with glass adhesive sealant, while the EuroCap visor is self-adhesive. Before installation, the part is test-fitted, and the surface is cleaned and degreased; adhesive makes future removal more difficult.

Will the spoiler fit a BMW M3 F80?

Yes, products marked “for F30/F80” in the name are designed for the trunk lid of the F30 sedan and M3 F80.

Which should I choose: a model-specific or universal spoiler?

A model-specific one follows the line of the F30 trunk lid. Universal ones (DPT 95 and 115 cm, Sunplex, HongHang) need to be test-fitted and adjusted for length and fit.

Looking for a spoiler for your BMW F30? The engine does not matter — a 320d and a 335i share the same trunk lid, what matters is the body style. The spoilers on this page are made for the 3 Series F30/F31 of 2012–2019: low trunk lip spoilers, rear window spoilers and several universal models. Parts marked “for F30/F80” fit the F30 sedan and the M3 F80; the carbon fitment notes list sedans from 316i to 340i.

Styles and finishes

DPT – ABS in gloss black or paintable: M3, M4, MP (M Performance), PSM, X, MXD and Custom.
DDCarbon – genuine carbon fiber and forged carbon: M3, M4, MP, P and PSM style.
Sunplex – black ABS LIP spoiler, the most subtle option.
Rear window spoilers – DPT, Libao, EuroCap Sedan and carbon.

Sedan vs. wagon

A spoiler follows the shape of the trunk lid, so check the body first. The F31 wagon has its own DPT MP-Style spoiler in gloss black; the other model parts are for the sedan. The Gran Turismo F34 is not listed on these items.

Installation

Gloss black parts are installed as they are, although the black may differ slightly from the paint; paintable parts are test-fitted and then painted in the body color. DPT and Sunplex are mounted with windshield adhesive, the EuroCap spoiler is self-adhesive — clean and degrease the surface first. Universal DPT spoilers (95 and 115 cm) are trimmed to fit.
