Frequently asked questions
What are the fender gills (brackets)?
These are decorative ventilation trims on the front fenders: model-specific ones fit the factory mounting points, while universal ones are adhesive. “Gills” sometimes also refers to grille inserts — look for them in the “Grille Tuning” section.
The DDCarbon trim pieces and carbon gills for Land Rover Defender are made of genuine carbon — this is specified in the characteristics. The black gloss ABS plastic only looks like carbon, so refer to the “Material” line in the product card.
How do I know whether the trim will fit my car?
Model-specific trims are matched to the body and years stated in the name, for example Range Rover Sport 2018–2022 or Tesla Model Y 2020–2024. Restyled and pre-restyling parts are not interchangeable, so check the production year; for universal trims, compare the dimensions with the product card.
How are the fender trims attached?
Model-specific gills are installed in the factory mounting points, stainless steel trims use the adhesive tape included in the kit, universal HongHang trims are self-adhesive, and DPT trims are installed with glass adhesive sealant. The installation type is specified in the characteristics of each product.
Do the trims need to be painted?
The M-style gills for BMW X3, X4, X5, and X6 are supplied ready for body-color painting. The rest of the trims come with a finished surface: black plastic, chrome stainless steel, or carbon.
Do you sell the wings/fenders themselves as a body part?
This page includes only fender trims. Body fenders themselves can be found in the “Fenders” section of body parts.
