Mercedes Vito W639 Hood Deflector (2004–2014)
The Mercedes Vito W639 has three hood deflector options: EuroCap for 2003–2010 (pre-facelift), EuroCap for 2010–2014 (facelift) and HIC. Each is made of black polycarbonate and mounts with clips or screws; the mounting kit is in the box.
Which bug shield do I need?
| Option | Fits | Manufacturer |
|---|---|---|
| EuroCap | Vito W639 2003–2010 | EuroCap (Turkey) |
| EuroCap | Vito W639 2010–2014 | EuroCap (Turkey) |
| HIC | Vito W639, years not split in the name | HIC (Taiwan) |
The 2010 facelift changed the W639 front end, so EuroCap offers separate versions for early and late vans. Choose by the hood that is actually on the vehicle, especially if the front was replaced or converted. For HIC, compare the profile with a photo of your hood. Vans built in 2014–2015 can be either W639 or the newer W447 – check the front before ordering.
Installation tips
Remove the transparent protective film first; minor scratches are usually only on the film. Position the deflector, fix it from the middle towards the edges and make sure the hood closes freely with an even gap. Replacement EuroCap clips (sets of 4–7) are listed under deflector mounts.
A hood deflector lowers the risk of stone chips on the leading edge, though it does not protect the whole hood. See also window visors for the Vito W639 and hood deflectors for the Viano W639.
