Chevrolet Blazer EV (in the U.S. it is often called the Chevy Blazer EV; here it is known as “Chevrolet Blazer electro”) is a mid-size electric crossover from General Motors on the Ultium (BEV3) platform. Sales in North America began in mid-2023, and the model is built at GM’s Ramos Arizpe plant (Mexico), the same plant that produces its twin, the Honda Prologue. Over three model years, the Blazer EV has changed noticeably: a front-wheel-drive version appeared, the SS received 615 hp, and starting with the 2027 model year the NACS connector became standard. We break down the current 2026–2027 versions, batteries, EPA range, charging, and how this model makes its way to Ukraine.

Chevrolet Blazer EV at a glance

  • Three trims: LT, RS and the sporty SS. LT and RS come with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive; SS is all-wheel drive only.
  • Traction battery: 85 kWh in LT and RS, 102 kWh in SS.
  • EPA range: 312 miles (502 km) for front-wheel-drive LT and RS, 283 miles (455 km) with all-wheel drive, 302 miles (486 km) for SS.
  • SS in Wide Open Watts mode delivers 615 hp and 650 lb-ft; 0–60 mph in 3.4 s (GM estimate).
  • 2027 model-year prices in the U.S.: from $44,700 for LT to $60,700 for SS (excluding dealer delivery).

What changed from the 2024 to 2027 model year

The first Blazer EVs for the 2024 model year came with an 85 kWh battery and all-wheel drive (279 miles, 449 km), or a 102 kWh battery and rear-wheel drive in RS (324 miles, 521 km). In December 2023, GM temporarily halted sales due to software and charging issues, resuming them in March 2024. After that, the model was updated every year:

  • 2025. A more affordable LT with front-wheel drive and a 220 hp motor appeared. The rear-wheel-drive RS with a 102 kWh battery was rated at up to 334 miles (538 km) EPA; all-wheel-drive versions were rated at 283 miles (455 km). In early 2025, the SS went on sale: 615 hp and 303 miles (488 km).
  • 2026. The rear-wheel-drive RS was dropped from the lineup, so the 102 kWh battery remained only in SS. For charging at Tesla Supercharger stations, GM offered an NACS adapter, and the Tech Bronze appearance package was added to the options list.
  • 2027. The NACS connector became standard. The 8-speaker Bose audio system, previously available only for SS, is now available for LT and RS as well (together with the Super Cruise package). SS received standard 22-inch black wheels, and prices remained at 2026 levels.

Demand in the U.S. remained steady: 23,115 vehicles in 2024 and 22,637 in 2025. After the federal EV tax credit was canceled on September 30, 2025, sales in the fourth quarter fell to 1,812 units. The closest relative in the Chevrolet lineup is the slightly smaller Equinox EV on the same platform.

LT, RS and SS trims

LT

The base trim with an 85 kWh battery. The front-wheel-drive version has 220 hp and 243 lb-ft; the all-wheel-drive version with two motors has 300 hp and 355 lb-ft. Standard equipment already includes a 17.7-inch center display with Google built-in, HD Surround Vision cameras, rear parking sensors, and a Dual Level charging cord for both a household outlet and a wall station. Super Cruise is optional.

RS

Technically, RS mirrors LT (the same battery and motors), but looks more aggressive: 21-inch wheels, a black grille panel and lower bumper section, a front light bar and an illuminated emblem with animation, and a standard two-tone body with a black roof. Inside there are two trim themes with ambient lighting; a head-up display and Super Cruise are available.

SS

The fastest production SS in Chevrolet history. A 102 kWh battery, all-wheel drive, and in Wide Open Watts mode it delivers 615 hp and 650 lb-ft, accelerating 0–60 mph in 3.4 seconds. Up front are Brembo brakes, the suspension has a sport tune, 22-inch wheels, and a head-up display and Super Cruise come standard with a three-year subscription. In February 2025, the Blazer EV SS became the pace car for the Daytona 500—the first time in the race’s history that an EV filled that role.

Dimensions: length 4,882 mm, width 1,981 mm, height 1,651 mm, wheelbase 3,094 mm. The all-wheel-drive version weighs about 2,340 kg. Cargo space behind the second row is 25.5 cu ft (722 L); with the seats folded, up to 59.1 cu ft (1,674 L).

Battery, range and charging: CCS1 and NACS

The simplest version goes the farthest: the front-wheel-drive model with an 85 kWh battery covers 312 miles on the EPA cycle. The second motor in the all-wheel-drive version costs about 30 miles, and the SS with the larger battery drives less than the LT due to its higher weight, more powerful motors, and wide tires on 22-inch wheels. One Pedal Driving mode and regeneration recover some energy during braking.

The 85 kWh battery accepts up to 150 kW at DC fast chargers, while the 102 kWh unit in SS accepts up to 190 kW. At home, the vehicle is charged with the standard Dual Level cord, which works from a regular 120 V outlet as well as 240 V. Blazer EV models for 2024–2026 have the American CCS1 connector, and an NACS adapter was offered for Tesla stations. For the 2027 model year, NACS became standard: Chevrolet states access to more than 250,000 public charging stations in North America and Plug & Charge via the Energy Pass subscription.

Interior, infotainment and driver-assistance systems

The center of the dashboard is taken up by a 17.7-inch touchscreen running Google built-in: Google Maps plans routes with charging stops, and for the 2027 model year the Google Gemini assistant is available. There is no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto in the Blazer EV: since 2024, GM has deliberately moved away from smartphone mirroring in its EVs.

Standard equipment includes more than 15 safety and driver-assistance systems, including the Chevy Safety Assist package: forward collision alert with automatic braking, pedestrian front braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, following distance indicator, and IntelliBeam automatic high beams. Super Cruise allows hands-free driving on compatible roads. The cabin seats five, and the rear row folds 60/40.

Chevrolet Blazer EV in Ukraine

Blazer EV is not officially sold in Ukraine: GM positions the model for North America. Vehicles are imported privately, mostly from U.S. auctions and the secondary market; on AUTO.RIA as of late September 2026 there are more than 27 listings. As of January 1, 2026, the VAT exemption for importing EVs has been canceled, so 20% VAT is added to the price, and excise duty is calculated based on battery capacity—1 euro for each kWh. More about the risks of such a purchase is in the article “Cars from the USA: is it worth ordering a vehicle from overseas”.

Before buying, it is worth checking three things. First is the connector: in Ukraine, fast chargers are mostly CCS2, so an adapter is needed for American CCS1 or NACS. Second is AC charging: Type 1 is single-phase, so from a Type 2 station via an adapter the car will not take more than what a single phase provides. Third is service and warranty: without an official dealer, software updates, recalls, and the battery warranty will have to be handled on your own, and Super Cruise works only on roads mapped by GM.

Tuning and accessories for Blazer EV

There are no parts developed specifically for the Blazer EV in our catalog yet. The Chevrolet Blazer 2018–2023 tuning section applies to the gasoline Blazer: its body is different, so wind deflectors and roof crossbars from that range will not fit the electric version. For the Blazer EV, universal items are appropriate—door sills with the Chevrolet logo, mud flaps, emblems and badges for floor mats; all of that is available in the Chevrolet tuning section.
