    No. The chrome trim is glued on top of the intact factory molding or seal and does not seal the glass. First replace the worn rubber, then install the trim.
    The lower one covers only the line below the glass, the upper one — above the glass, and the full one — the entire window contour. For some models, the full trim comes together with pillar covers — this is clear from the name and photos.
    Usually not: different body styles have different door and window shapes. That is why the body type is specified in the name — SD, HB or SW — and you need to choose the set for your own.
    Measure the length and width of the area where you will glue the strip, and compare it with the dimensions in the product name. Moldings sold by the meter are cut to the required length; U-shaped profiles are fitted over the edge of the part.
    Check the wheelbase and number of doors: there are separate kits for medium and long wheelbase vans, and moldings for the sliding doors and their rail are sold as separate items.

    How it works

    1. Check the base Inspect the factory molding or seal under the glass: it should be intact and sit tightly in place. Trims are not installed over cracked or peeling rubber.
    2. Test-fit and mark Place each strip in position without removing the tape backing, and mark the edges with masking tape so you can apply it straight the first time.
    3. Wash and degrease Remove dirt and wax, let the surface dry, and wipe it with a degreaser or alcohol. Do not use solvents on painted areas.
    4. Apply in warmth Install in a dry, warm room. In cool weather, gently warm the surface and the tape with a hair dryer.
    5. Apply from edge to edge Remove the protective film gradually, guiding the strip from one edge to the other along the marks, and make sure it runs parallel to the glass line.
    6. Press down and wait Press the molding firmly along its entire length, especially the edges. Do not wash the car right after installation so the tape can bond properly.
