Volkswagen T4 Transporter 1990-2003 EVA Floor Mats (black)

Description

EVA floor mats (black) — a vehicle-specific set of two cabin mats for Volkswagen T4 Transporter 1990–2003 from Digital Designs. They are cut from ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) to match the floor of this exact body and fit into the factory locations; the same set is also available in the catalog in gray, beige, and brown.

What EVA is and how these mats differ from rubber ones

EVA is a lightweight foamed polymer with cells on the surface. The cells trap water, snow, and dirt, so water doesn’t spread around the cabin and won’t soak your shoes, and the mat itself doesn’t absorb moisture. Compared with rubber:

• Weight: EVA mats are much lighter than rubber ones, making them easy to remove and shake out.
• Smell: the material is odorless and hypoallergenic, so it also suits those who are sensitive to the smell of rubber.
• Weather: resistant to moisture and temperature changes, they work in winter and in summer.
• Edge: sewn EVA mats are flat, with binding along the edge — it’s not a tall rim like on molded rubber.

Which T4 mats to choose: color, binding, heel pad

A black base is the most practical: dust and shoe marks are least visible on it. A contrasting binding, for example red, makes the cabin stand out more without changing how the mats fit. A heel pad protects the driver’s mat in the spot where the material wears the most under the heel.

How to select mats for your T4

The set is intended for T4 Transporter 1990–2003. Before ordering, it’s worth уточнити with the manager what passenger seat you have — single or double: in cargo vans, the patterns for the front mats for these variants may differ. For the second and subsequent rows, the catalog has separate rear Polytep mats and rear Stingray mats.

The mats are made using patterns for a specific model, so they follow the shape of the T4 floor and cover the main area where dirt from shoes gets in. If you have reconfigured the interior or changed the seats, tell the manager what exactly was changed — it will be easier to check whether the standard set will fit.

How to care for EVA mats

It’s enough to shake the mats out and rinse them with water; if needed, brush the cells and dry them. Don’t bend them sharply: if an edge has curled after storage, you can gently warm it with a hair dryer from a distance and straighten it.

All mats for this body are in the mats for Volkswagen T4 section, and other accessories are on the tuning Volkswagen T4 Transporter page.
