Volkswagen Winter Radiator Grille Covers

In cold weather a large radiator grille lets in more air than the engine needs, and warming up takes longer. A winter radiator grille cover partly closes the grille and helps your Volkswagen reach its normal operating temperature sooner. Here you will find model-specific covers made by Digital Designs for the T4, T5 and T6 vans, Caddy, Crafter and LT, as well as for the Golf 3–5, Passat B5–B7, Polo, Touran and Sharan.

Two zones, two covers

The upper cover goes on the main grille with the badge, the lower one on the bumper grille. Buy one or both. The T5 Transporter 2003–2010 has two lower options: a short centre piece and a full-width cover with side parts.

How to choose

For the T4, the front end matters more than the year: short-nose and long-nose versions need different covers, and you pick the option on the T4 upper cover page. For the T5, pre-facelift (2003–2010) and facelift (2010–2015) covers differ, as with the T5 2010–2015 upper cover. The T6 2015–2024 has upper and lower covers; owners of a T6.1 (2019 onwards) should compare their grille with the photo. Caddy covers are split into 2004–2010 and 2010–2015, with separate parts for the Caddy Life.

Material and mounting

Black, matte ABS or gloss polystyrene. The cover hooks onto the factory grille without removing it; the lower T5 2010–2015 cover is fixed with ties. Make sure it does not hide parking sensors or a camera.
