We continue the topic of soundproofing Daewoo Lanos. Previously, we published an article on do-it- yourself Lanos trunk lid noise , now it's time to do the same work with the hood.

To work on soundproofing the hood of a car, you will need the following tools and materials:

• Vibration damper Shumoff M2 - 5 sheets.
• Shumka Ultimate Soft 6 - 1.5 sheets.
• Rags.
• Degreaser.
• Roller roller.
• Dryer construction.
• Cutting tool (knife, scissors).
• Cardboard for making patterns.

Work

First of all, you need to remove the factory hood trim, if any. But you need to do this very carefully, since the mounting clips are too fragile (in case of breakage, they can be replaced with GAZel ones).

The process then looks like this:

• The inner surface of the hood is cleaned of possible dirt and dust.
• Then degreasing is performed and time is given for drying.
• After that, we make patterns from cardboard.
• According to the patterns, we cut blanks from vibra and Shumka.
• The first layer is applied vibration isolation Shumoff M2. We roll with a roller.
• The second layer is soundproofing.
• In principle, the process is completed - we install the standard hood trim in place.
