How to choose tires

Every motorist is faced with such a problem as the choice of summer and winter tires for his car. Consider the features that you need to pay attention to when choosing tires.

There are several nuances that must be considered when choosing winter "rubber":

• Climatic features;
• Tread pattern;
• The presence or absence of spikes.

First you need to decide which tires to take studded or not. To do this, it is necessary to take into account the climatic conditions, and if during the main time of the winter season it is necessary to overcome snow-covered areas, then feel free to take a studded one.

If the passageways are cleared of snow, then you can take winter non-studded tires.

Next, pay attention to the tread pattern. We choose with a pattern having a rectangular shape of checkers, arranged in a checkerboard pattern.

Another option is a lamella tire. Lamels are special small strips on the tread. There should be enough of them, which will provide additional traction.

You can look after all-season tires, but in the warm season they lose in their properties - summer tires, and in winter - winter tires.

Choosing summer tires

It is necessary to focus on the tread pattern. According to the type of pattern, summer tires are divided into:

• Universal;
• Road;
• Increased permeability.

If you mainly drive on asphalt, but still sometimes drive on a dirt road, then you need to take universal summer tires; if only on asphalt, then - road tires; if the path often lies along dirt roads, then - off-road tires.
