The Nissan Leaf will get a version of the crossover

Nissan recently published a teaser image of the electric car Leaf new generation. The novelty will appear before the public on 6 September this year in the framework of the motor show in Tokyo.

Despite the fact that the presentation of the new generation electric car Nissan Leaf in autumn, is already known some details about this vehicle. The model will be more attractive and striking exterior, and also acquire more powerful power battery and get system auto-pilot.

But the main news is that the Nissan Leaf will become a sort of founder of a whole family of these vehicles. The first closest relative will be the model with the body of the crossover.

According to the British journalists, the new electric crossover will be called Terra. It is this word that was recently patented by the Bureau of Malaysia. It is worth noting that the name has already been used Japanese brand. Then, under the same name was presented with a conceptual model that was supposed to get the hydrogen power plant. However, this project never had any success and was soon closed.

New electric crossover will be built on the platform model Leaf. But unlike the predecessor, the novelty will receive a second electric motor for the rear axle wheels. It is expected that the novelty will become the main competitor of the American model Tesla Model Y.
