What is Digital Designs?

Digital Designs are exclusively handmade American subwoofers*

Digital Designs has been present in the global Car Audio market for over 25 years. For more than 10 years, it has held the lead in producing the best subwoofers in the world. New technologies and developments are introduced every year. Subs become even better and louder, with accurate deep bass, and of course resistant to overloads. To date, the model range includes about 20 types of different sizes - from 6.5 to 24 inches. The most popular are 10", 12" 15".

Conventionally, DD subwoofers can be divided into 3 types:

 • For everyday listening with powerful bass;
 • Extreme - for lovers of very loud music and SPL competitions;
 • For fans of the "correct" bass - SQ.

DD Power Amplifiers

Production exclusively at the factory in South Korea. Only the best components and no "cheap". Thanks to this, Digital Designs amplifiers are popular not only in competitive movements, but also among simple lovers of loud and high-quality music. In our assortment - always a full range of models - from 1 to quite rare 5-channel. Power up to 15KW - depending on your need. The declared power is always true (which cannot be said about cheap Chinese brands). Real power - you can calculate it yourself, it's very simple:

How to determine the power of a 2/4 channel amplifier (AB class):

We multiply the total power of the fuses by 14.4 (and in fact by 12-13, since the voltage is not always ideal at the amplifier terminals) and multiply by 0.5 again (this is an efficiency indicator for the AB-class - mainly 2 and 4 ducts ).

Example. There are two 25 amp fuses for the amplifiers:

25 + 25 = 50 amps

50 x 14.4 = 720 watts of power used (!!!)

720 x 0.5 = 360 watts - the real power that the amplifier produces (if it is a 4-channel, then 4 x 90 watts, if it is a two-channel, then 2 to 180)

How to determine the power of 1 channel amplifier - monoblock (D-class):

All calculations are similar (as above), only the efficiency in monoblocks is about 0.7-0.8 (depending on the manufacturer).

Example. For amplifiers, two fuses of 30 amperes each - an average efficiency of 0.75:

30 + 30 = 60 amps

60 x 14.4 = 864 watts of power used (!!!)

864 x 0.75 = 648 watts - the real power of the monoblock.

As you already understood, "physics" cannot be deceived. And in most cases - the numbers are indicated on cheap "Chinese" - this is an advertisement
