Akvapechat: detail of varnish
Lacquering of parts that are applied with hydrographics is an integral stage of work, which will give the coating strength and spectacular shine. Therefore, you definitely need to know how to do it right.
We start the varnishing process after the product has already been washed and air-dried. We wrote about this in more detail in the section Film for hydrographic printing: transferring to a detail . And once again we repeat - this stage of work is required! After all, the layer of decorative coating obtained by immersion printing is very thin and completely unstable to various damages: it can be easily scratched, erased, etc. In addition, the varnish protects the pattern on the product from fading, exposure to aggressive environments and UV radiation.
And the protective coating is very easy to apply. At the same time, at your own discretion, you can choose the material, the variety of which in stores today is truly impressive. But we would recommend using undiluted "HS". This varnish is highly durable and dries very quickly. It is applied in 1.5-2 layers.
If you want to create a three-dimensional effect, a textured and deep color pattern, you will have to apply a coating in about eight layers, each of which is sanded and dried.
